I've been doing some digging and trying to get a better idea of how Audi has been involved in F1 in the past.

Here's what I've gathered. Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Audi has supplied engines to several Formula One teams over the years, including Lamborghini and Mugen. The most notable team to use Audi engines was the Joest Racing team.

Joest Racing is a German motorsport team that was established in 1978 by former Porsche factory driver Reinhold Joest. The team has primarily competed in sports car racing, but has also made occasional appearances in Formula One as a privateer team. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Joest Racing entered Formula One using engines supplied by Audi. The team's best result was a 4th place finish at the 1989 Japanese Grand Prix. Joest Racing continued to compete in sports car racing after its brief foray into Formula One and has since become one of the most successful teams in the history of endurance racing, with multiple victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
