In preparation for Friday, I wanted to get a thread going to discuss Drive to Survive. I figure we should alert people there could be spoilers here... but, well... the whole actual season of racing is already over so nothing should really come as a surprise.

Titles:
  1. The New Dawn – Charles Leclerc
  2. Bounce Back – Toto Wolff
  3. Like Father, Like Son – Mick Schumacher
  4. Matter of Principal – Ferrari
  5. Hot Seat – Sergio Perez
  6. Pardon my French – Fernando Alonso
  7. Nice guys finish Last - Daniel Ricciardo
  8. Alpha Male – Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly
  9. Over the limit – Christian Horner
  10. End of the road - Mercedes

Two episodes down. BOTH of them basically start with the 2021 season finale. My wife is a Hamilton fan and I'm a Verstappen fan.... so it's been very awkward both times.

Hopefully episode 3 doesn't start the same way.

It looks like it'll be focused on how much Ferrari screwed up last year.

My thoughts on Episode 3

Mattia Binotto comes across as just covering up all the mistakes they made. And they made so many.

I like how they portray Carlos. I think he had some real bad luck and would have been higher in the standings. He doesn't have the outright skill of Charles, but I think he's more reliable.

Just finished Episode 4 all about Mick. Another one thats pretty hard to watch. He really struggled.

Maybe the most shocking thing is how TWICE the Hass cars broke in half. Crazy.

Also.... I love how everyone realizes half the show is all about Guenther.... lol.

Yeah the tension between Haas and Mick was a lot to watch. With Guenther and all the other stuff that's gone on for them it's funny how much of an impact Haas has had on the show.

It will be curious to see how many points they can amass in a year between Hulk and KMag. Especially when it looks like they have a better car this year than last.

Episode 5 was pretty good. I'm not sure why, but I don't get a good vibe from Otmar Szafnauer. I'm not surprised people aren't sticking with that team.

Pretty funny seeing Alonso committed to his role as the enemy... haha
The reality is, Alpine wouldn't give him the contract he wanted and someone else would. So he walked. And the shocking thing is... Aston Martin might actually be good this year.

Just finished Episode 6. "Good Guys Finish Last"

Really sucks watching what happened to Daniel. But I guess he did it to himself. I get why he left RedBull... and at the time, switching from Renault to McLaren seemed smart... but it doesn't look very smart now.

McLaren really looks like its a mess right now
